Jackson Steiger - Pianist/Keyboardist

Jackson Steiger is a Cincinnati pianist and keyboardist. While primarily a jazz musician, he strives to be as versatile as possible and can play in any genre or setting.

Originally from Detroit, Jackson studied classical music from age 5, and jazz from age 9, and has played professionally since he was 10. Since 2012, Jackson has been based in Cincinnati where he enrolled in the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, performed with the CCM Jazz Lab Band and CCM Jazz Orchestra, and studied under Phil DeGreg and Steve Allee. In 2017 he graduated from CCM with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies. Jackson has performed with countless musicians, including Michael Cruse, Eric Wurzelbacher, Dave McWhorter, Paul Keller, Jeannie Marie, Grace Lincoln, Mandy Gaines, Yemi Oyediran, Camille "Saba" Smith, George Simon, and Carlos Vargas-Ortiz, as well as bands including Johnny Clueless, Bluewater Kings Band, The Touchables, The Young Jazz Messengers, The Clifton Collective, and Fresh Funk. Jackson is currently the keyboardist for The Hot Magnolias, The Jazz Coasters, All The Things, The New Royals, and Ernie Johnson from Detroit, as well as the accompanist and organist for Ebenezer Baptist Church in Milford, OH. Additionally he is a core member of the music and production collective Afrochine.
